I am a French-Lebanese visual artist based in France. My practice explores memory, disappearance, destruction and the persistence of traces through drawing and material experimentation. Working primarily with ink, water and charcoal powder, I develop images through processes of deposition, diffusion, erosion and transformation. Rather than simply representing a subject, I allow materials to actively shape the image, balancing deliberate gestures with unpredictable phenomena.
In the Poussières series, black powder derived from combustion becomes more than a drawing material: it establishes a direct relationship between the substance of the work and the ruins it depicts. Born of burning, the powder carries an intrinsic resonance with destruction, while its accumulation and dispersion evoke the fragile persistence of matter after collapse. Architecture emerges from this dark residue, caught between reconstruction and erasure. Through this process, drawing becomes a way of making absence visible and exploring how destruction leaves traces that continue to hold memory.
